1. Play fair, play for fun

• Be yourself, for real. One account per person, your real date of birth, no pretending to be someone else.
• Keep it light. Awkward is fine. Funny is great. Mean is not.
• Respect the "no". Nobody has to take a challenge, share a photo or keep chatting. Don't insist, don't pressure.
• Play the game, not the system. No cheating, no bots, no scripts, no exploiting bugs to get coins.

2. Never allowed

These apply to answers, photos, messages, usernames, bios, profile pictures and dare link hooks, in every vibe, including CHAOS:

• Sexual content. No nudity, no sexual or sexualized content, no requests for it, whatever the age of the players.
• Danger. Nothing risky, illegal or harmful to you or others: no alcohol, drugs, self-harm, dangerous stunts or challenges done in the street or near traffic.
• Harassment and hate. No insults, threats, humiliation, bullying, racism, sexism, homophobia or any discrimination.
• Other people. Don't photograph or involve anyone who isn't playing, and never share someone's answer, photo or message outside the app to hurt them.
• Personal details. Don't ask for or share phone numbers, addresses, emails or social media handles to get in touch with a minor, and don't try to meet players in person.
• Spam and scams. No advertising, no links to dodgy sites, no selling anything.
• Anything unlawful or that violates someone's privacy, image rights or intellectual property.

3. Photos

• Dare photos are taken with the camera inside the app, never from your gallery.
• Only show objects, places without personal details, or yourself, fully dressed. No one else in the frame without their consent.
• Photos arrive blurred (always for minors): the person receiving them decides whether to show them.
• Only your opponent can see them, and they are deleted automatically after 30 days.

4. Chat

• The chat unlocks only after a match finished together, and it is text only.
• Between minors, phone numbers, emails, links and social media handles are filtered out.
• A player you block can no longer challenge you or message you.

5. Age rules

• Dareo is for players 13 and up.
• Players aged 13 to 17 only ever play and chat with players their own age. Adults only play with adults. This is checked by our server in every mode, even between people who know each other.
• CHAOS and matches with new players are reserved for players 16 and up with a saved account.

6. Report and block

See something that breaks these rules? Report it. It only takes a tap, and it really helps.

• Where: during a match, on a result, in your history, in the chat or on a profile, with the 🚩 Report button. You can report a player, an answer, a photo, a message or a challenge you think is inappropriate.
• Why: choose a reason (inappropriate content, harassment or insults, seems younger than 13, spam or scam, shocking or dangerous dare, something else) and add details if you want.
• Block: blocking a player stops them from challenging you or messaging you.

7. How we moderate

• Every report is sent to our team and reviewed.
• When an account receives three separate reports within 7 days, it is automatically suspended until we review it.
• Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, send a warning, restrict features (chat, links, matches with new players), suspend an account or delete it permanently.
• Content that puts a minor at risk, or that is clearly illegal, is reported to the authorities.

8. If you need help now

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 17 for the police in France). In France, 3018 is a free helpline for young people facing online harassment, and unlawful content can be reported to Pharos. Talking to a parent or an adult you trust also helps.
